Gmail's New look

Gmail's become more beautiful !

I have always been an ardent fan of Google and its products. One of the best products ever made available (free) on the internet by any company is Gmail.

The very idea of Gmail was awesome. There was a time when people were having serious problems with speed and space of their inbox. Thatz when Gmail stormed in. Armed with a mind blowing and virtually unlimited storage space of 1GB, improved spam filters and a whole new perspective to e-mailing, it blew every internet user's minds away, almost immediately

Enough of history.

The changes very much visible to the user

1) The loading pages have changed
Earlier it used to be a "simple" Loading, followed by a Loading with red highlighting. Well the trademark red-highlighed "loading" is gone. Substituted with a Google-cross-platform loading tag. Yellow-highlighted Loading message at the top-middle of the page.

2) Faster !
Gmail's now quicker than ever. It prefetches the messages. Its visibly faster. Earlier it used to take quarter of a second (!) to load a mail. Now its simply isn't there ! Its really quick

3) Contact pages revamped. (see screenshot #1)
Contact pages now is more ajaxy, with contact searches happening as you type. Provision to provide more info like phone number and address is a really cool idea !









4) Hover frame of chat changed (see screenshot#2)
This refers to a lil frame that appears when you pause your mouse at the contacts on the chat thingy. Its now changed and looks more organised. I'm hoping to see a lil more changes here









The new interface is not that perfect. It wasn't even loading yesterday. And by today afternoon, the pages were loading only to see the chat thingy stuck !. Now everything seems to be up and running thou' I do get a null response when I click here and there (the older version got perfect with the ajax responses over the time..). Hope Gmail team's on it and would clear up all the "bugs" and take us all to a new e-mail experience !!

-I'd remember this day, the day the new Gmail was rolled out !

i am a subscriber of that..and i get cool cool mails from them ..

then what else..as you said..oasis is over..we had a tour ..it was to KULLU AND MANALI..
remember where roja film was shooted??
the temple where the guy(some sami..whoever he may be..INDIAN SOLDIER)WAS kidnapped...we saw that temple and the day after that we went to rohtang pass..
that is the place where snow fall occurs..for the first time in my life i saw snow..
we made snow man..etc.etc..

yeah bought a pullover(some thing of a overcoat..hearing for the first time after comin here) for the upcomin winters from kullu .

had a nice time..
there were 38 ppl in all(20 first yearites inclu 3 galz..)
we stayed in a hotel for a day..obivious not in the same room as galz but same floor..

incidently the day we checked in RAAZ was there in the TV.so the galz(SENIOR GALZ) watched the movie in the guyz room !!

well i made an attempt to get into the galz room..no probz as such..i went in ./...with a lil...well even though galz had no prob..if i see some personal things of them such as b*a or something on the bed...chi chi..

i got out quickly(got out means...not run out...got out of the room...and not GET OUT also !!!)

certainly i am crapping...but you need to remember somehting...crappin is the whole point of life..



well then what else...the marks are very very bad...seems like there is a need for us to study..TRYING HARD TO GET A CG ABOVE 8 all though they wont put a CG for mid sems..

guyz behind me are tryin to install MAYA 7 in the comp..do you know that nothin..absolutely nothin should be installed in the IPC computers??

but still we are doing it..


one more thing..yesterday PTM(pilani tamil mandaram) screened chandra mukhi !!

yeah the katthi rajni movie...yeah the sexy nayanthara movie(sorry for that comment !!)

no where near to the original mallu mani chithra thazhu (i know it is one word ..but for the sake of reading ...i spiltted..)

no ...no jeffrey...no more crapping !!!

the point was that..the movie was not free. ppl(note the word ..."ppl") had to pay 20 for the movie....but I SAW IT FREE. i donno how...when i came,actually i was very early...they told me to get in... i had come there thinkin that spot entry would be there...but for the students who came after me had to pay the full amount of RS 20 !!!

by the way...hows the food out there..??
here for our mess is superb...other messes are not good !!

hows the pattern of paying mess bill..here its like you can pay it/or may not pay...it will be there till the end of the sem...no interest..nothing(i donno what happend to birla...it may be because ..he has a lotta money !!)

yeah divali nearing...those who didnt go to homw durin oasis are planning...no no...have already left for home..it happened today...saturday only half day official working hours..

and i forgot to tell...

yeah the reason,...not talking or sleepin..

it so happened that...our outstation forms for the tour didnt reach him in time...actually what happeended was that it was OASIS ..and this guyz couldnt be found in his home where we should give him forms..

then he called me+suraj satheesh...+murali...and threated for a DC(DISC COMmitie)
means 1 semester out of the campus...other 2 guyz went dispressed
but me...***start music..heroism***

Finished Mani-Chithra-Thazhu !!

Finally its done.
Something which I ventured on a tour-bus successfully came to an end today !

I get scared like a pig, and its been my dream to finish this movie. I remember trying to watch it back from calicut. I was too young then.

Anyways, this to jeff , congrats for completing that movie.

Eve of SPM test . Structure and Properties of materials. One of the most boring courses I've ever done. Not because I am ave minus already :)..but because i cant stop thinkin why we are doing this course.

Its been almost 1 hr since i got out of library. My study today was full of sleep. But seems like thatz not gonna stay.. I am puttin one of my best principles to use.. Persist !!

I'd remember this day for : Persisting with SPM till the exam.
